rain

Rain is a tangible form of liquid precipitation. Precipitation itself can be either solid (such as snow and hail) or aerosol (such as dew and fog). Rain forms when separate drops fell to earth from the clouds. Not all rain water to the surface of the earth as some evaporates while falling through dry air. Rain is called Virga type.

Rain plays an important role in the hydrological cycle. Lembaban from the sea evaporated, turned into clouds, gathered into clouds, then fall back to earth, and finally returned to the sea via rivers and streams to repeat the original recycling.
Rain gauge (ombrometer) standard

The amount of rain was measured using rain gauges or ombrometer. He stated as the depth of water that collects on a flat surface, and measured less than 0.25mm. According to the SI unit of rainfall is a millimeter, which is an abridgement of liters per square meter.

Precipitation is often described as a form of "oval", width at the bottom, and shrink at the top, but it is not appropriate. Precipitation of small nearly spherical. Large rainwater becomes more shallow, like bread hamburger; rainwater larger umbrella-shaped waterfall. Big raindrops fall faster versus smaller rainwater.

Some cultures have established hate to rain and has created various equipment such as umbrellas and rain clothes. Many people are also more liked to stay indoors on rainy days.

Usually had higher levels of acid rain pH 6. Rain water with a pH below 5.6 is considered acid rain.

Many people assume that the smell that wafted on rainy days are considered scented or pleasant. The source of this odor is petrichor, essential oils produced by plants, then absorbed by rocks and soil, and then released into the air during rain.
